The latest car in our racing stable is a blue 2006 Subaru WRX (nicknamed the Bloo-Baroo). Preparations for the 2009 racing season include an AEM intake system, STI Turbo, Perrin intercooler, and HKS exhaust system. The car has been dyno tuned by TurboTrix, and is putting out over 300 hp and 300 ft/lbs of torque measured at the wheels. Pictures will be posted soon. Titzen Beer sponsored the Apocalypsemobile that competed in the Hangover 150, a charity race held on January 1st 2009, near Buffalo, NY. Following the unfortunate and definitely unintentional tradition of our previous racing cars, the car was totalled. Which is not surprising when you consider that this race was a demolition derby on ice.
HISTORY
Titzen Beer's first sponsored car was a black 2002 Subaru WRX.
The car was replaced with another 2002 Subaru WRX.
This car was gradually but substantially modified during it's four year competition career,
moving up from Motorsport NE's
Class E into unlimited Class U. This car achieved two 3rd place and two 5th
place finishes within it's class.
Unfortunately, this car was struck and totalled by a drunk driver in February 2008,
Bummer - The Mazda RX-8 we bought in 2008 for competition in 2009 is deceased.
Even if you don't own a Subaru, you may be interested in one
of our Titzen Beer Racing Team bumper stickers, Golf Shirts, or hats;
these don't feature a picture of a specific car.
